Members of the Euro-Atlantic Council of Slovenia delivered a presentation entitled “Safe Slovenia” to candidates attending the June intake of the Basic Military Training Course (TVSU) at Boštjan Kekec Barracks in Bohinjska Bela.
Participants were introduced to the organisation and structure of the national security system of the Republic of Slovenia, as well as the role and tasks of the Slovenian Armed Forces both at home and in the international environment. The presentation also covered Slovenia’s participation in NATO. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of Slovenia’s membership in Euro-Atlantic institutions and on the contribution of the Slovenian Armed Forces to security, stability and international cooperation.
The lecture provided candidates with a broader insight into the national security system and the role of the Republic of Slovenia and the Slovenian Armed Forces in addressing contemporary security challenges at home and abroad.
